First Attempt With ED80

Hi All.

Well last night i thought i would try my hand at Imaging for the first time with the ED 80, Mounted on a EQ5 Mount.

Got myself up at 1.30am, and peered outside, but the seeing was pretty ordinary, but decided to stay out anyway and do some shots of Orion.

Took about fifteen all up but actually only two survived, the rest were pretty poor, so i just combined 7 darks, and only two lights, and this is the result.

By 4.30am it was minus one, and the frost, and dew ruined some of the images, never mind it was fun.

This image is 2 exposures @ 400 ISO tracked not guided, with 7 darks combined and stacked in Image Plus, and touched up in Photoshop CS2.

I'll keep trying.

Cheers Leon

Nice work Leon. The 5D is a 12.8 megapixel camera, have you got anything higher resolution (bigger picture)?

Leon,

That's a fantastic start.

With more time and practice, you can only get better.
