Telescope control over ethernet

dear members,

I think I'm missing something or not searching very well.
How do I control my telescope over a wired network connection over cat5 Ethernet. My home is cabled up, but wifi is poor.

Cheers

Hemi,
If you have a laptop locally connected to your mount you can use the free version of Teamviewer on a CAT 5 network to connect between the local laptop and your home office.
Many of us control a semi remote installation this way.
Which mount do you use?

Thanks Ken,

Currently I have nexstar evolution c9.25. Will be adding the wedge shortly, and then an az eq 6.....well that's the plan.
I wanted to eventually control everything from the office wired with no wifi drop outs......I'm currently 100% visual. I would like to automate the photography, whilst observing with a second scope..... Or sleep while the telescope and computer collect the data.

You will also need to be able to open\close the Ob roof if you intend to sleep through the night. And monitor incoming rain, clouds, for automation of that.

Amongst many other things ...

Thanks,

Wow wish i had a setup like that.
Alas no observatory so no roof! I observe from a roofless veranda. Planning the imaging for the dry season: it NEVER rains in the dry season.

Cheers
