I'm thinking about using this winter as an opportunity to do a "big lap "of Australia in my caravan. Take maybe 6 months to do it. I haven't made the decision yet but that's where I'm leaning. I will make a decision when I get back about if/how to re-enter the hobby. But for now, as age creeps up on my wife and me, unticked bucket list items become more important.
So, I am asking for expressions of interest in some of my gear that I don't want gathering dust and wasp nests while I'm away. I'd appreciate answers by PM only please with an indicative (no commitment at this stage) price you'd be willing to stump up. Please resist the temptation to make silly offers. I just won't respond to them.
The main items are mounts and CCDs (with filter wheels, guiders etc).
1. Losmandy Titan with new Gemini 2 (mini).
2. EQ8 (always in the obs on a pier - the tripod never left the box.
3. SOLDQSI683wsg with 5x Astrodon filters and Gary Jarrette adapter for QHY5L-II guide cam.
4. SXVR_H16 with matching filterwheel (carousels for 5 x 2"and 7 x 1.1/4"filers, and SX Lodestar guidecam.
5. [SOLD] ED127 triplet with top motorised focuser. This is a nice scope.
6. GSO RC8.
7. 10"f 3.8 astrograph with Satchmo conical primary, Moonlite focuser with FLI focuser for PC control. The OTA has been marked a fair bit but the optics include new primary cell, new spider and new secondary.
There's other bits and bobs as well but these are the main items. Because I plan taking a HEQ5Pro with me as a travelling rig, I'd entertain any swap offers for a good FSQ85 or FSQ106.
Otherwise, I'd hope to see offers that came in at about 2/3 or replacement cost.
