China has finished building its super big telescope

Report on ABC news tells us the Chinese have completed the 500 Metre telescope and will be operational in September.

I nearly fell out of my chair, I had taken my glasses off to give them a clean as the screen can up... It was shiny and just for a moment I thought I was looking at a giant mirror.

I hope they pull it off and the thing will work as expected. The Chinese are spending big time in science. The other recent news is their new supercomputer, made from their own processors
