Melbourne seeing conditions Friday night/ Saturday morning

Took my new scope and camera out for some first light. Set them both on Jupiter. Anyone in Melbourne now got the scope out?

My images and visual of Jupiter are very soft with almost no colour or detail. Can anyone confirm that Melbourne seeing conditions tonight are bad?

Checked all my equipment and its fine.

Very poor in Mt. Waverley, Stefan. Now I know why. I didn't bother setting up.

Had my 6" f12 out for 4 nights in a row...I think and didn't bother looking through it once....typical Melbourne weather. On the plus side the scope looks great in the backyard

Seeing must have been a bit better in Heathcote last night, although still not fantastic. For a change though, my guiding was amazing until 4 am when it dropped out hehe

One of the problems that we are having is smoke from the fires in Tassie I believe. I would love to get out and spend some time.

Andrew.
