It is looking good Some nice colour and detail in the galactic arms. Is it just me on my phone or do the Stars have an odd triangle shape going with them?

Thanks Colin. The stars aren't perfect, could be collimation. I haven't adjusted it for a while, and as the primary mirror could also do with a clean its probably something to look at over the christmas break.

That's very good Richard. This is a dim target and you are showing it very well there. Good colour as well.

Greg.

Hi Richard,
that's a very nice picture.
I had a go at a small adjustment - I hope you don't mind?
I added a bit more colour & contrast to the galaxy.
I darkened & slightly blurred the background.
Is this better?

cheers
Allan

Thanks for the comments everyone This was certainly a more challenging target; i've tried to find a balance between visually pleasing brightness/saturation without going overboard on the stretch/sharpening/decon. Using a NABG sensor for luminance also adds a fun twist.

Prompted by Allan's touch-up, I have uploaded a few more revisions to astrobin with progressively more saturation/sharpening. What do you think? Too far, not enough or on the money ?

Hi Richard -
that's looking better now with version E.
I forgot to say that I did some 1 pixel sharpening with a blurred mask on the galaxy.
The final small adjustments just add the icing on the cake - well done.

cheers
Allan

A very attractive and delicate rendition - nice to look at. I prefer the original, but both are good.

The stars look pretty good for a blooming sensor - apart from limiting exposure, did you need to do much to control/remove the artefacts?
