Fight...Fight...Fight

Well it was full on at my place today...our ' rag doll ' cats decided to ' have it out ' in the family room.

What a turn of events this was....it went on for a few good minutes.

The ' Mrs ' tried to break it up , but I told her to leave it alone...I suggested I go get the neighbours poodle and throw it in to ' up ' the anti.

She said that would be a bad idea, but I was up for a bit of entertainment

Needless to say the ' female ' gave the male a good hiding .... furniture was knocked over .... fur everywhere on the floor.

I love a good pussie scrap .... especially close encounter ones.

Poppy....

Decided to break up 2 Alsatians going tooth and nail at each other. BAD BAD BAD idea (I was 14 or so). I ended up with through-through puncture wounds to each hand, which I did not even notice until the blood was flowing all over the floor.

Cat fight - you would need to be nuts to try breaking them up. Best idea - squirt bottle of water set to stream.

Throw a blanket over them and if you have a pool, toss them both in. That is what I used to do with my Siamese when they wanted a bit of a biffo that was more than playing, worked every time.

What do you guys DO to your cats over there ?
We've had at one stage 5 Oriental Siamese and we've never had a fight happen. We're finally down to just one but we've had varying numbers over the last 16 years and not once had any sort of trouble.

Similar incident. Except it was just my cat, and her paw was caught under a door. As I tried to help her she turned around and latched onto my thumb. She pierced my nail and went right through to the other side. Very painful!

I must admit the Siamese are great natured cats, rarely get out of line, but on the rare occasion that there was a bit of a "happening" my method worked well. Guess what I am saying is not to try and break it up without having yourself well and truly protected.

Did you eventually take them out of the pool?

Yeah George, sure did, actually I was living in Darwin at the time, and I think they quite liked being cooled down. At that stage I had 5 Siamese cats, and that was fun I can tell you. They really are intelligent fun creatures, and apart from the occasional misunderstanding they were quite placid.
