What is the aim? The aim is to employ/deploy (all of) the tools at our disposal to elucidate and enumerate as much information as is available in our astro-
photographs. Including images which appear over-exposed to our unaided eye
and which may well contain "hidden information" readily revealed through numerical methods.

Trust this as is in-alignment with our "general mandate".

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ask me how I do it - that's a better question!

I think possibly a better question would be what is each image showing us or is this something that hasn't been determined by yourself or others yet?
Do you have some speculation on each image?

they are all predicated on the same drubbing (see note elsewhere). I only have to apply the drubbing sequence once (although you can lather it on a few times without any particularly-noticeable degradation/distortion - at all!)

The images differ only in post-drubbing enhancement.

As for liking the images .. I'll tell you what my computer likes ... it likes the post-drubbed version way better and this is reflected in my computer happily applying post-drubbing enhancement in a much more smoother linear fashion. << I never realized my adjustment sliders were only operating on 3 cylinders until I discovered image drubbing. btw

I think of it as the enhancement-equivalent of chain-oil for a rusty old bike chain -- my computer agrees and thanks me for giving it a more meaningful existence.

Oh Ok, - Do you have any info about what is showing & what is represented in each of the 'drubbing applied' images
I punched in Drubbing to Google and only came up with a lot of Sports related stuff ?

what is meant by "drubbing"

as mentioned earlier; drubbing is "pre-conditioning" of a given image. It consists of the proprietary application of a certain sequence of "events" which results in the generation of a "proto-enhancement".

A proto-enhanced image looks much like the original yet responds in a wholly-different fashion to subsequent traditional-enhancement techniques.

Send images to my attention and I will return a "proto-image" which you can
now apply your own favourite enhancements to.

I will "proto-shop" your image for you : ) Limited time offer! : ) Try it - you'll like it!
