Sizing a dome

Hi All,
What are people thoughts on the maximum size telescope in a 2.4 Sirius dome?

The opening is 600mm but the mechanism to open and close the lower shutter reduces that to about 540mm. I want to put a 16 inch (400mm) RC in it.
I think it it work for the most apart but I thought there would be two issues.

1) The tracking sometimes isn't great and you would get some cut off's

2) Heat leaking out of the shutter would make the effective shutter opening smaller, by how much and for how long would guess on the heat differential?

Any thoughts... I know some people here have 14's in a dome this size.
