Here's a selection of my best photos from a sunrise session at Coffs Harbour during my recent holiday there at the beginning of October.
I took over 100 shots, and whittled it down to these 20 or so for posting.
All shots taken with the 350D + 18-55mm stock lens, no filters. Manfrotto 055Pro B + 484RC2 tripod used in all shots. All exposures were at ISO100, and usually at f/22. Some shots are the result of 2 exposures with HDR processing, others are a single shot processed twice from RAW to process as HDR.
All RAW work carried out in Raw Shooter Premium, with final adjustments in Photoshop CS2.
I've got some panorama/mosaic shots still to do, will hopefully post them over the next few days.
Thanks for looking, your comments/favourites are most welcome.
What a beautiful portfolio. My favourite is batch #1, bottom row, 2nd photo. The perspective created by the vanishing point of the pier, along with the diminishing columns of illuminated pier lamps really draws one in. The cool, blue cool colours of dawn with the threatening clouds add to the feelings of solitude and emptiness. This would make an excellent poster or album cover.
They are all splendid photos Mike and that makes it very hard to choose my favourites.
I like best- RiseReflection1, the third last photo you posted and the last photo WithRock.
I agree, they're all wonderful photos Mike, a testament to your talent.
My favourite is, as Dennis pointed out, jetty4.jpg.
The colours and perspective are amazing in this shot.
