Lazzarotti optics - anyone has experience?

Wondering if anyone has their scope or had a chance to look through their DK telescope?

Very tempting - focus length almost 7 meters.

Regards

I have not heard from Paolo for quite a few years now and was not even sure he was still involved in planetary imaging. His images have always been of a high standard and he has used his scopes for imaging. I have never seen one in person or used one, but the designs look very good. It should be worth the gamble.

I've always wanted to give the 315 a go. Nothing between the image sensor and the planet apart from two mirrors seems pretty good to me.

Paolo has posted some astonishing images -- his gear clearly works very well.

I recall a fairly old exchange of ideas between Paolo and Wolfgang Rohr on optics measurements that might possibly be useful reading - should be able to find it with Google.

I would think that such an open structure might have dew issues, but have no direct experience to support that opinion.

edit: here is the Rohr correspondence - no idea if it still means anything. http://astro-foren.de/index.php/Thre...%80%93-part-I/
