Most ever users

Hey,

I see the long standing 'most ever users' figure of thirteen hundred and something got a thrashing recently.

Currently .... 'Most users ever online was 3,950, 14-10-2015 at 11:03 PM'

Can anyone recollect what was happening on this date almost three weeks ago that was of such mammoth interest?

Cheers

Lol, that would be a bit sad hey.

I did look back over the posts on that date and thought of Blindman's cracking post but decided against it

Yet nothing else is standing out. Surely BM's vid didn't go viral. Tell me it didn't!

Can't imagine it Rus, - the previous record of 1300 and something had stood for 8 years.

I'd imagine there's been a few new moons and clouds since then. Gotta be something fairly prominent I'd say.

TBH I'm really surprised no-one has come forward with a clear answer since whatever it was must have been fairly common knowledge - though not to me obviously

It would have to be mistake wouldn't it, At 11pm on a Wed night to have nearly 4000 viewers must be wrong. Could it be a Denial of Service Hack attack?

Is there no way to tell.
Was it a key word search engines picked up.
I find it uncomfortable this can not be pinned down ...
We must get a best case answer or I won't sleep.
