Things to do in Darwin??

My wife and I are flying to Darwin soon for 10 days to visit relatives.

Besides the obvious tours to Litchfield, Kakadu, etc, which we've already done, what is there to see just around Darwin and on single day trips ?

We are more into landscapes and nature than historic and cultural sites.

Googling it didn't give us much info.

Crocasaurus Cove http://www.crocosauruscove.com/ is pretty good.
Darwin Aviation Museum http://www.darwinsairwar.com.au/
Darwin Harbour or Mandorah Dinner Cruise
Berry Springs
Fogg Dam
Aquascene (Fish Feeding)

I know they don't necessarily meet your criteria, but they are the one's I could think of.

I see that you've done it, but Litchfield is always worth the effort.

Mandorah Ferry for Darwin's skyline from the bay, nice.

Plenty of good beachside seascapes around Nightcliffe and East Point.

Fantastic street pic opportunities around the various market sights, the Mindil Beach market being somewhat expensive and iconic.

Hey Katherine isn't to far down the road, plenty about there if time allows, not to mention scenic landscape sights on the way down with waterfalls etc.

Enjoy.

Drink beer.

Yup, that's it, drink beer.

You'll thank me later (I can say this - I am a born and thrown up Northern Territorian)

Arrived in Darwin.

Note to self......the build up to the wet season is probably not the best time to visit Darwin.

I know I'm a soft southerner but the humidity here is just ridiculous.

Some good suggestions there, thanks for that.

George I'll pm you. I heard there is still a barra swimming around with a $1,000,000 tag on it. I'm not a great fisherman but that sounds like easy money
