My 1st ToUcam shot - what a surprise!

LOL!!

I fired everything up in the early afternoon to try and get ready for a night's experimenting with the ToUcam. I turned on the lappy and started to get an image.... no focussing, no pointing... and by just a plain and absolute fluke I scored this image on screen.......!

Must be an omen... it looks very ...uhmm... pagan - almost looks devilish with only his right horn showing here. I've seen this face on the moon a couple of times before - can anyone actually tell me what it mught be called - or even if it has a name? I can hardly find any clear references to it.

PS- sorry about the image quality - I didn't even figure out how to focus properly yet..... (flip-mirror coming asap)

Onya Omaroo Off and running.

I'm assuming you have a Meade Microfocuser attaached to your 12"

Just to get you started in learning what to look for when focusing check out Secrets of the Hartmann Mask Revealed. It also contains some info on focusing.

Hi Omaroo, definitely the Hartmann mask is one the best accessories you can have to achieve that final focus and they are so cheap to make. It improved my images 150%.

cheers
