boring grand final weekend?

well not really, good to see the cowboys win - but that's another story.

yesterday we had a visit from the police - several of them and the rescue helicopter, fire brigade and an ambulance - not quite sure what went on but within a 10 minute period it was all happening - day later still no idea. perhaps they were searching for broncos fans?

Someone reported a "Pine Gap" type structure going up in the area perhaps?

I could be seeing things, but is that not a light aircraft in the reeds/bushes? There is even a Police car in near it. (No, not the yellow helicopter)

If the a/c had an engine failure and made a forced landing in there, you wouldn't have heard it.

I dunno, Dave, you've made my grand final weekend much more interesting. I haven't heard of any light planes going down on the news, but then I haven't been watching the news... can anyone spot the problem with that statement?

Its the most interesting thing to happen all weekend, Dave! Inquiring minds want to know!

Does the alleged "downed light aircraft" have ducks or other water birds swimming in it? Does it's surface make waves when you throw a rock into it or does it go "boing"?

Were the emergency services so excited by the grand finals, that they just couldn't take any more? Did they have to go somewhere green and tranquil for some quiet time? Or were they being community minded and making sure the frogs and taddies didn't miss out on the score?

Your mission, Dave, should you choose to accept it, is to investigate the investigators! Great job on the surveillance photos, that's always a good start. Now its time to investigate and, dare I say it, interrogate... I'm sure they'll cooperate, they are professionals after all! They understand!

Good luck!

BTW anything beats having a serious chest infection on a long weekend. Enjoy, all of you who are healthy - cause some of us aren't.

Al.

well that's snot on the magnitude of your test is nothing to be sneezed at to be honest its a wonder they never got bogged it is still wet from the rain a week ago

and its been too hot to dig the dirt on the obs

the irony was I just got back from getting my eyes tested (yes new glasses coming for the blind old fart) and I had drops put in my eyes. I couldn't see a thing and didn't know what was going on. I couldn't focus on anything close to me, so when I did take a video of the proceedings I was not , um up to par...
