Tried every password I ever remembered. Nope
Googled. It's a feature if you initially set up with your Microsoft account rather then a local one. So am pretty much stuffed at this point as I have no way to connect to the web. Ie, you are being verified against password on windows server.
I read a few more threads then hit gold. When you reboot, your keyboard settings default back to US. ( mine is on UK). I have at least one character requiring the use of shift key which is in a different place on the U.S. Keyboard!!
Click language on log in screen but to change you click the windows icon plus space which is not exactly intuitive.
Sighs heavily and moves on.
