Another great shot and, as Billi said, the colours really jump out. It's nice to know they are about and breeding, they are one bird I too rarely see in the wild. Mind you, if you see one you often see hundreds. I recall hearing that the wild birds are only about half the size of the captive population - selective breeding in action. Apparently they can also cover huge distances, cruising at about 80kmh. Given where they live, I suppose they have to.

That brings back many great memories, I recall seeing massive flocks of these from the Pilbara to NW Qld, they are often a good indicator of where water can be found.

They sure are Billi. They only come in green in the wild.
