Grey Butcherbird

Another friendly bird in our backyard in Paddington - Grey Butcherbird.

Canon 600D and 50mm Sigma lens. Not an ideal lens for this kind of imaging...

Can it get the morsel down?

I do like these birds, they have a most attractive call.

Cheers

Good catch, Suavi. They are very acrobatic birds and can catch a morsel on the fly. My wife isn't fond of them because they harass her family of kookaburras and steal food from them.

Cheers,
Rick.

He/she ate the morsel slowly, somehow the bird usually comes around when we are having bbq...

Rick, next time they harass kookaburras give them a decent lamb chop or a t-bone steak; that should fill them up
