ETA Carina widefield with ED80

Hi Guys,

Here's a shot at ETA Carina early in the morning with the ED80 taken a few days ago with the baader UHC-S filter. The filter helped to remove some of the bright background glow caused by the moon. I have tried using with/without the MPCC corrector. Still coma's around the edge with the ED80. I think even more with the MPCC but this shot is without it.

consist of 7 x 5 mins at ISO800.

comments welcome

Hi Eric,
Love the subtle colour variations you are getting in the Nebula.

Could look at that image for ages.

ETA Carina

Hi Eric,
Very nice picture, good definition, nice colours, as you say some Coma at the edges, Did you use CWB (white paper) for this exposure, or Auto, I ask because witout modifing the Camera there is normally a Blue Hue to the nebulosity (I have a EOS300D-modded now) unless you process it out, anyway good work there.

cheers....Jim

cheers guys thanks for your reply. Jim, the originals came out blue from the unmodded camera. I had to lower the blue histogram level to balance the colours.
