Cool 11" - 12" mirror heater ($120)

Brand new, not used, Kendrick Newtonian Heater for an 11" - 12" primary mirror (could also be used with a Ritchey Chretien or Dobsonian).

I purchased this about two weeks prior to this advert, not entirely sober I must admit. When the package arrived I eagerly opened it expecting to see a premier wrap-around heater. Surprise!

Anyway, I'm not going to use this, don't intend on pulling the scope apart any time soon so I'll sell this one and learn a lesson. The lesson is: avoid telescoping while whisky...

Will sell for $120 including postage anywhere, negotiable. I can deal with bank transfer, paypal, bitcoin or cash.

Thank you for looking.

Can it be cut-down to fit smaller size or RC primary or does that ruin the heat grid?

Hi Glen - I found this about the pad: "The pad is made of two sheets of rubberized fabric cemented together. Imbedded between the sheets is a heater element made of a single thin strand of nichrome wire many feet long. The wire is laid in a maze-like pattern so that it warms the entire surface of the heater pad." My guess is that cutting the mat risks cutting either the wiring or damaging the matting. I wouldn't want to recommend that.
