Gemini.net

Anyone else having trouble with connecting to their Gemini-controlled scope?

For some reason, my computer that is connected to my Titan mount decided tonight that it wouldn't find the scope because it insisted another instance of Gemini,.net was running. Needless to say there was no other version or instance running.

The only thing that had occurred between the last known operational date and tonight was that I downloaded some Microsoft updates and installed them. So something in the update process has shifted the goalposts.

I just found a newer version of the driver on Tom Hilton's site and will give that a run tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Peter

Peter i get that way that sometimes if it isn't broken don't fix it - but in this case Microsoft updates are a problem. for that issue alone i chose to isolate the PC systems in the observatory from updates. well thats what i did anyway, in a dim brightly lit past.

hope you get the fix to make it work
