HEQ5 pro (synscan v3.24)
Looking to sell my heq5 pro as I'm moving to a larger mount and changing the direction of my astrophotography.
This heq5 pro is in great overall condition. It comes with a power cable (not a power supply), 2x 5kg counterweights (paint is flaking on the weights but obviously this does not affect performance), synscan v3.24 handset, home made usb to heq5 eqdir for eqmod usage and the original tripod.
This mount has been modified with a Rowan astronomy belt drive kit removing all the backlash from the spur gears that normally drive the mount, it also makes the mount slew silently compared to a standard heq5 pro.
The mount has been totally disassembled, the black goop grease from skywatcher completely removed, all the gears and bearings have been cleaned and cleared of manufacturing flaws.. The entire mount was re-greased using super lube fully synthetic grease. The worms have been painstakingly adjusted and there is 0 backlash present in either RA or DEC.
I would like $800. Happy for someone local to pick it up or to pack it and post it at buyers expense.
