For Footy Fans (NRL)
As t'is the season of "couldnt care less about the final now" I thought this would make a good read for anyone else suitable disillusioned.

That is a cool site Chris.
I remember the days of the Biff very well.
I was even involved in the days of the Biff
Many an injury still carried from back then! (on both sides)

I'm not a footy fan, but was invited by a friend to go and watch the final at Aussie stadium on Sunday night.. I thought we were going on holidays on Monday, so I had to say no.
Turns out we're going on Tuesday, but by the time I rang him back he'd already offered them to someone else who accepted
I don't watch or follow the footy, but it still would've been a great experience at the grand final.

Yep, that sounds like someone not into footy, Mike.
If it was me or another RL footy fan we would've just cancelled the holiday

I thought you would like it Ken
I agree with a quote from a mate at work - surprised Les Boyd wasn't further ahead of the pack.

Gee, the Dragons are quite popular in that site! That doesn't mean they were into the Biff though . . . no. . . not them . .
I can remember watching some of the greatest Biff sessions of all time. Mainly involving Johnnie Raper, Reg Gasnier, Artie Beetson and Tommy Redonikus! (regularly )
Ahhhh, those were the days

I think it was late 70's.
I worked with him in the mid 80's for about 6 months, top bloke.
He'd tell me about one of the grandfinals he'd played in for the Saints, don't remember which one.

It's wierd, coz I have followed the Dragons/Saints for 49 years and I have only ever met 3 of them in all that time!
And that was this year at the State of Origin 'meet the players' function in Melbourne (Bull Bailey, Matty Cooper & Ben Hornby).
Actually out of the 34 players (both sides) that were there, only 6 blokes were 'nice & friendly' blokes willing to spend time and chat.
Strangely enough it was Bull, Matty & Ben from the Dragons, Sam Thaiday from Broncos!, Gordy Tallis (ex-Bronco), and Anthony Minicello (who wasn't even in the State of Origin, but went along for the fun of it whilst on the injured list). Minicello was terrific because he spent heaps of time with my son Jake!
The funniest part of the whole day was I got stuck with Mario Fenech. Boy, he can talk the ears of a concrete rabbit!!!!

Did you know Dragons is bestest team in Australia that have more premeriship wins in grade finals between 1921 and 1996. It the year of Dragons Fire! I can remember back in 1996, the Dragons played very well and they have had good players including Wayne Bartrim (now england)!
Cheers
