NGC 7232 and others

Finally after weeks and weeks of cloud, I got to collect some photons.

NGC 7232 in Grus
12x10 mins ISO200. Unfiltered. MPCC coma corrector, modded 350D full spectrum camera. Warm night about 20 degrees. 10 inch f5.6 newtonian. hand guided as usual.

Crescent moon present.

Slughtly cropped.

Galaxies look a bit yellowish because of the full spectrum, some infra red recorded as well.

I like it a lot Scott. Nice processing and composition and a very interesting group of galaxies.

Cheers

Lovely galaxy group Scott, full spectrum helps with the faint fuzzies as there are so many.

John.

Nice grouping Scott and very nicely processed too

I think you get the prize for faintest extended objects attempted from heavily light polluted skies and nailed ...your deep Cen A is on top of the list too

I have revived this thread as I was observing these galaxies (7232 & 7233) last night. Seemed to be a good target for our photographers.

has anyone taken a more recent image of the group?

Tornado33's effort is very good, but extends to a wider field. I would be keen to see a narrower field view of the 7232/33 group.

many thanks
