Another Sculptor Galaxy Shot

Taken at prime on the VC200L - total is 8*3 mins plus 5*5mins at iso800...

Overcooked the processing I realise and the JPG does not help - but I rushed this - work has been nuts so I did it in about 10 mins while chewing on a sarnie at the kybd...

I hope to reprocess and get it better.

Here is a question - how many darks do you take, same as number of lights, 4, 8 16? Reason I ask is I have amp glow visable in the FITS...never seen that before but then I only did 2*5 min darks and had 5*5 min lights - should I duplicate my darks? Would not have though this is needed as 5/5 is the same as 2/2....I'm tired...

No John you dont need to take the same number of darks to lights but in general taking between 5-10 darks is recommended no matter how many lights you take.

For example I may take:
30 light exposures
5 combined Darks
5 combined Flats
10 combined Bias frames that I use on all my shots....I dont take these Bias frames every image....about every few months I update these.
