Comet PanStarrs and the Horse Head Nebula

Partial clear skies yesterday evening was enough to see me pack the car and head off in search of a power line and light pollution free vantage point on the other side of town.
I'd set up next to a paddock and waited for the big black cloud to move from in front of the planets and comet. Finally got my run going and the two equine residents of the paddock decided to investigate what I was doing.
It's nice to have a bit of company but these guys wouldn't budge from in front of the camera. LOL.
The close up of the comet is a stack of 26x13sec subs, Canon 550D, Tamron 90mm Macro, F3.5, ISO1600. the image is heavily cropped, compare it to the other image taken with the same lens.

Nice shots Jeanette! The clouds give some good perspective in this case I think.
