Comet C/2014 Q1 Panstars Moon Venus Jupiter

Taken from friends place, took my camera for taking shots at a Bday party but took the tripod just in case the clouds cleared so i could get this Comet.

Nikon D7100 Tamron 16-300 at 58mm f/5 iso-800 9x5 sec shots stacked in DSS then processed in Pixinsight. Still trying to relearn so probably not the best processing workflow yet.

This comet came as a surprise, i had been tracking the new moon on Skysafari for the Start and End of Ramadan, and i noticed this Comet was getting brighter. But no mention here in IIS till recently.
Hope to catch some more with my 80-200 f2.8 but my tripod is very unsturdy for this lense. And the good tripod i have on loan has a 3/4 thread and my camera is 1/4. Its a Tre-d egnineering (italian) heavy duty tripod with 7961 head, but its a bit old and i cant find an qr plate with 1/4. if anyone has ideas on how to adapt this please let me know.

Nice shot Fahim.

Surprise comet indeed. It's been around for a while but low in the morning sky. As it came out of the western evening sky, it's bright display was a bit unexpected. It will fade again now as it heads away from the Earth and Sun.
