Mount is sold.
Hi Everyone,
I have an EQ8 mount that i love and use and purchased with aspirations of imaging with a 14 -16in scope.
Only problem is I have a back injury (not due to the EQ8) that makes moving the EQ8 around difficult and am not going to be able to lift a heavy 14 - 16 inch scope on to if i was to purchase one.
I now feel the little GSO RC8 scope i have does not need such a big mount to run it on. As such i am downsizing to an AZ-EQ6 Mount instead.
The mount is in "as new condition" and functions perfectly, it is also the newer / second generation mount that had the changes to the clutch handles, tripod and other small changes. It has been used roughly 10-12 times and comes with the following:
- HD Field Tripod
- EQ8 Mount Head
- Hand Controller
- 2 * Counter weights
- Storage / Shipping Case (Black and Silver lockable case on wheels)
- Original Boxes for the Tripod
- Original boxes for the counter weights.
As these currently retail for around $5600 I am asking $4500 ono plus buyer pays postage. I would much prefer to sell locally as these are BIG mounts but can work with buyer to ship if needed. It also has a 4 year balance on the warranty with Skywatcher.
I will be heading off to Astrofest QLD on August 7th so I will either sell before with enough time to replace the mount with the AZ-EQ6 or will take the EQ8 with me and use it while there.
