SOLD SOLD SOLD.
Due to the sale of my lathe not going ahead some time back I have decided now it the time to relist it. It's a Hercus
Model VBC metal turning lathe. I only used it a couple of times after I bought it nearly 3 years ago now. It's a nice little machine, and ideall for a beginner. ideally suited to the types of things us hobbyists make.
It has been partly dismantled for transport, and is in storage. I.e. cross slide, tool post, motor and tailstock off to make it lighter to move. It is a good little machine for hobbyists. Comes with some accessories, tooling, and a set of back gears. It's mounted on a sturdy bench. Needs a new drive belt. It would make a great little project in itself if someone wanted to get it back to how it looked new. The motor bracket has been replaced at some stage with a home made one. The lathe has been painted red at some time in it's life. Originally enameled battleship grey (like all lathes should be

).
I also have a small reciprocating power hacksaw that I will include in the sale for nothing if the purchaser wants it. Further, I have a copy of a turning manual for those who might need it.
It needs to go because I don't have room for it at my new house. It is in storage in the Adelaide Hills. The attached photo isn't the actual lathe.
