NGC6726,7,9 and thye globular 6723

The QHY10 I used for this image is a new one and I'm still not confident I'm getting the best from it. There is a strong green-dominance in all images and processing it out while retaining a general colour balance is proving quite difficult. This is a quick-and-dirty with DSS/CS6. I just can't get the reflection nebula blue cast I want/expect to see. This is 3 hours of QHY10 and a RC8 and F8. Any suggestions gladly taken on board.
Peter

Looks nice Peter. Definitely got a lot of detail in there.

In dss try changing the weights of the colours. I will have a look now but it's somewhere in the debayer settings so you could run R:1 G:0.5 B:1 too see if that drops the cast down a bit.

Not bad for a quick and dirty Peter. Looking forward to the final result.

Looks like there's some nice detail in there, Peter. Yoda's Walking Stick looks good.

As Alex suggested, you'll probably need to play with the weights of the colours. Bumping up the saturation of the brighter areas is often needed to bring out colour as well.

Cheers,
Rick.

Hi peter,

nice capture it is a difficult one to process alright, I have recently shot this and did a quick and dirty process last night, I agree the blue colour really was harder to extract than expected.

Cheers

Russ
