Where to buy real computer batteries?

Can anyone recommend a computer outlet that sells real genuine batteries for laptops?

I just bought a Lenovo battery from ebay, the listing said genuine Lenovo battery,it has all the perfect packaging ans so on however my computer not happy! saying its a non-genuine battery and will not recharge it,and it is not.

So wasted a good few dollars for nothing.Need a reputable outlet to purchase one from.

Also heard similar re ebay SD cards,so seems like buying on line is not a good way to go when after the real genuine item.

You can also buy genuine Lenovo Batteries from Lenovo on line. The later model batteries are smart and Lenovo Laptops monitor battery performance, probably why your ebay cheapie wouldn't work.

I got a similar problem from an eBay special for my Dell XPS where it tells me it can't charge as it doesn't recognize the battery but it charges it anyway.
It only does it if I connect and power up in a certain sequence, can't remember exactly as it doesn't do it very often.
Try a couple of different start up and charge sequences it may come good.

sounds a bit tricky with these ebay ones, the seller ended up refunding almost all the purchase price, was a long winded process, but being a China seller I really expected nothing.

I'll ring the number that a IIS member supplied they look a better place to deal with.

Thanks

Unbelievable how complicated it is to buy a battery!! tried three high quality battery outlets in Australia with no results, tried Lenovo on hold and shunted around for ages on hold, eventually speaking with someone with poor English, had to give serial number of computer. Now awaiting a quote from them and then have to follow links sent in email to pay for it.Taken 45 minutes to get this far! All this modern technology makes our lives so much easier and better...... hmmmmm :/
