Pluto from New Horizons - 11 Jul 2015

Hi all,

In anticipation of the official NASA release I had some fun detail enhancing / colourizing the latest publically available OpNav image from three days ago.

Pluto is showing great surface diversity on the Charon facing hemisphere. Acquired by New Horizons from a distance of 4 million kilometres.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Thanks Russell and Roger, planning to make a trip to CDSCC on Wednesday morning - hopefully there will be some preliminary high def data available then.
