For Sale: QuickCam Pro 4000 - SOLD

I have 2 QC Pro 4000's. One is modified for use on the scope, the other is not. In fact, the other, I have only rarely used, maybe 10 times in the last year or so I have had it. I simply don't need it, it was to be used for survailance while my scope was running automated, turned out to not be useful like that.

The QC Pro 4000 is very suitable to planteary imaging. Search the web for images taken with these. They can also be modified for long exposure although I have never done this. Adaptors can be bought to thread on instead of the lens and slide it in to the eyepiece draw tube for about $30 on the web or just super-glu a film canister on the front. Exposure times capable from 1/5th second up. Full gama/gain/brightness/saturation control. Last I checked, this camera had almost identical characteristics to the ToUCam with respect to light capturing capabilities, resolution capabilities, exposure times, etc. Video capture up to 640x480 and still capture up to something like 1024x768 (never really used that). It's IR filter that can be easily removed if desired.

Suitable for:
- general webcam usage
- planetary photography
- solar photography
- autoguiding on bright stars
- long exposure modification
... and much more.

This sale includes:
- 1 x QuickCam Pro 4000 camera
- 1 x holder/stand to mount on LCD/laptop screen
- 1 x instruction booklet
- 1 x ImageStudio CD
- 1 x Roxio VideoWave CD

All came in the original package. All still like new. For the software I would srongly recommend downloading new versions from Logitech's website rather than using the CD's.

$90 + shipping or make an offer. If you live in Perth, happy to organise pickup/dropoff within reason. At the time I was given it, it was worth $169. New ToUCam's are currently about $160 - $190.
