Anyone making or know of someone who makes Stainless steel counterweights?

I am after a few stainless steel counterweights. Bird mentioned in an old thread that he got one made by Mick Pinner. Anyone have a contact for him?

Greg.

Thanks Hans. I was hoping for a local supplier to get the cost down.

G'day Greg,

Here's the thread by Mick Pinner - 10 years old though.

Maybe a steel fabricator could make one? Might not be that cheap though?

Any engineering machine shop should be able to knock them out for you Greg. Pretty simple job.

Why stainless? Just for looks or will they be exposed to the elements?

That is a possibility. Stainless because that's a standard weight for the higher end mounts and also no rusting.

I guess I'll check out some engineering shops and see how much they want. Its starting to sound like importing ones from Software Bisque may be worthwhile.

Greg.
