'Roid rage - yet another Asteroid!

Hello,

In preparing to image Eris, I did a dry run on M30 to investigate a niggling auto guiding problem. When I processed the image set (10x3mins) I noticed an object that moved between sub-frames. A quick image link between CCDSoft and The Sky 6 revealed this to be minor planet 98 Ianthe, at 3.9AU.

Gee, these critters seem to be popping up everywhere!

Cheers

Dennis

Careful Dennis, you're getting bitten by that bug. Chasing these things gets pretty addictive I hear.

Nice shot mate

Great image Dennis,
there seem to be way to many of these little asteroids flying out there for comfort! lets hope none of them get too close to us.
