Radioactive chicken

I think that recently I have been spending way too many hours with PixInsight. Staring into flat screen light bulb must have triggered distant memories of Chernobyl and how we were given iodine at school to minimise the effects of radioactive fallout...it all inspirited me to revise my attempts at the Running Chicken nebula...

I better go for a walk...

Very striking Slawomir. I am imaging it right now in narrowband as this object presents best in NB.

Czołem Sławek!
Awsome reprocessing …
Q: in PixInsight, did you create your own formula (pixel-math perhaps) to produce this 2-colour picture

Czołem Ian and thank you

I really struggled to get distinct colours in this image using PixelMath, so in the end I just used Linear Fit and simple RGB combine to create a colour image, then tweaked histograms separately for each colour, as well as used Curves tool. Then I combined it with Luminance data with LRGB tool.

RGB combine was simply HOO without any blending and I used starless versions of Ha and OIII for creating colours.

Another corker. The colors emphasize the details and contrast. One for the cool wall.

Magnificent Slawomir. The colours are really iridescent. A print would probably glow in the dark.

Hi Slawomir,
There's a wealth of detail there.
These bi-colours are starting to catch on.
The narrow band is giving more interesting detail than LRGB.

cheers
Allan

Thank you gents for your very kind feedback.

Yes, it would be interesting to get it printed with some luminous ink and to see how it glows in the dark

Or maybe I could illuminate it with UV light?
