A few snaps from home (Devonport, Tasmania) so you can see what I have to put up with.
And the nearest dark sky is about.... oh, about 10mins drive away. Hard, right?

Looks like Tassie is a horrible place to live... all that greenery would be enough to put anyone off

Thanks for the comments Chris, Billi, Tim and Steve (but of course, Steve is in on the secret, only down south).
I'm glad you enjoyed looking at them. And I'm sorry Billi, it must have been traumatic for you.
It was hard to pick a set from all the ones I have, too.
David, I think the secrets out, but we have the moat :-)

It's definitely on my list of places to visit my grandfather moved to Vic from Tassie and all of the in-laws are from there too, so no doubt we'll make it over there eventually

It has quitened down a bit Derek, though a few hardy winter holiday makers are kicking around still.
I remember how nice and relatively unpopulated Coffs to Byron used to be in the late 70's mate. So much so that Coolangatta was a rude shock when you got that far.
Now. Well, the seachangers have made large strides.
