First Images from Skywatcher MN190

Here are the first images taken through the Skywatcher MN190 Mak-Newt. Obviously a wider field of view to my 10" imaging newt, but the star shapes, great contrast, flat field, lack of coma right to the edges, etc all make for a good subs. These are both single subs, converted to jpg for Astrobin. Eta C is a 209" sub at ISO 800 and Centarus A is a 270" sub but at ISO 1600 so very noisy. Very happy with the MN190. Both shots taken with the Canon 450D Full Spectrum, my uncooled one - yes I have two.

Thumbnails are included for illustration purposes but they are very poor quality compared to the Astrobin files.

**BTW if someone knows a good way to get higher quality thumbnails within the 200kb size restriction on IIS please let me know.

Mn190

Excellent results Glen! This Eta from my MN190 with an STF8300c! As you say, the Jpeg does not do it justice.

cheers,

Phil

Looking good so far.

I'll be very interested to see how this scope performs going forward
It's one I would consider buying at some stage.
