Partial Lunar Eclipse 17/10/05

Here are some shots I took of the partial lunar eclipse visible last October

I was lucky enough to get the first image printed in 'Australian Sky and Telescope' magazine Images taken through my 10" Dob. using a Canon A75, ISO 50, f/5.4, 1/640th second exposure taken at 10:28pm 17/10/05. Second pic is with a green filter on

Regards,
Andrew

Nope, missed it unfortunately as I'm in just finishing VCE this year (in year 12). Hoping to get right back into it once I'm done

Hi Andrew! Welcome to the forum!

Nice shots, I think they could look even better with a bit of post processing - do you mind if I have a play with one of them?

Here it is, just a quick play in photoshop (greyscale, high pass filter, levels/contrast, and unsharp mask).

Lovely image.

Fantastic images, just wondering how do your original images straight off the digicam compare with your final processed images in terms of detail? The detail in the final images is just amazing!

That Partial was a popular time for cameras last year. Here's mine taken with a Kodak pocket camera held up to the EP.
