Howdy all
Got some new objects last night with the 10 inch.
NGC 6637 4x5 mins ISO 200
NGC 6652 2x5 mins iso200 cropped from larger image
One of the smaller planetaries Ive imaged M3-29, just 8 arc seconds in size and Mag 14, its 3x 1 min, no darks or flats used.
I went to bed with scope set up, got up again at 2:30 am to find cloud patches, but ever keen I shot the Tarantula as best I could, as the seeing was among the best Id seen and the scope was equalized in temperature. Bacause of cloud I was unable to do my intended 20 minute shots, having to go for a 600, 200, and 300 sec shot stack to fit in between clouds. Its masked and stacked in Photoshop. All pics initially processed with Iris

I'm happy to be asleep at 11:00pm let alone thinking about getting up at 2:30am...I would prefer to wait for the targets to come to me then vise further....lol
Thanks everyone.
Theres a method to my madness, in Newcastle ive discussed light pollution with Photoncollector over coffee, and we both agree that after midnight the sky gets darker as some non essential lighting is turned off such as sporting grounds, outdoor house lights and so on.

Yep I agree with that, I've noticed it too.
Great images once again Scott, love the Tarantula.
