Hello again, I'm back

My last visit here was January 2012. I've been ignoring the call of the stars for 3 years, but the weekend saw me drag the old Schmidt-Newt out and I was well chuffed. I discovered that my old bones not likey the cold as much, my dew shield was not to be found (quickly made one out of cardboard), I couldn't recall the markers for eyeball-aligning my GEM, the neighbors trees had gotten really big, and what a thundering nuisance the Moon is.

But it's good to be back.

Welcome back Mark.
Why not look at the Moon?

Rob if you are referring to me I must say I never left.
I visited for years but not logged in I did not appear in the visitor list.

I took a vow of net silience because I felt I talked too much.
Clearly I did.

I still talk too much but can't help putting in something these days.

Nothing wrong with the Moon, I've looked at it a lot over the last 40 years, but I'm a deep sky kinda guy.

I am not good at keeping secrets it seems.

I put on a moon show for the little kids years ago and to jass it up used coloured filters which went over extremely well.

Me too and drifted to astro photography almost exclusively.

And recently got back to visual and have really enjoyed the odd moon session.

The moon is the star of the show for me tonight. Only if it doesn't cloud over again though
