Smile Challenge Rejects, or, "A trip to Taronga Zoo"

Hi all

Went to Taronga Zoo on the 3rd September (Fathers Day). Captured these shots with the 350D + 75-300mm lens, all handheld.

Shot in RAW, processed in Raw Shooter Premium and Photoshop.

They're in alphabetical order.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice portfolio Mike, I like your “day out with the family” work. It seems on this outing you had the light working against you – a dull, cloudy day? I especially like the gorilla feeding on the head of broccoli, they are just beautiful animals.

We’re off to SeaWorld today, from where I hope my entry will come!

Cheers

Dennis

You can't tell me those lions don't get paid to ham it up for the camera. Fantastic shot's Mike. Have you ever thought of taking your family out to the Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo? From what I've heard it's pretty special.

Oh and I hear there are some pretty dark skies around that way as well

Love the meerkats, Mike.

Anyone else been keeping tabs on Meerkat Manor on SBS? I suspect that they make up more than half the story lines but there's some great video footage in amongst it.

Thanks for the comments.

Paul we were planning on going to Dubbo Zoo this October, but decided on Coffs Harbour instead. We've been once, about 4 years ago. I look forward to going again.
