PHD2 and Paramount mounts

I am pretty sure I had PHD2 working on my PMX when I had it.

Its been a little while and I use PHD2 on my AP1600 no problem.

Now I am also wanting to use it with my Paramount PME and I have forgotten the settings to make it connect to the Paramount.

Does anyone know the correct settings to get PHD2 to work with a Paramount PME? It'd be the same as a PMX.

Greg.

I believe that you connect the camera via TheSkyTelescope Driver thing (ASCOM) and you need to have Pulse Guide and Direct Guide activated in the ASCOM settings.

I was looking into this too, i believe you need an ASCOM driver for PHD2, is there one for the Paramount? seems like a silly question but a quick google search doesnt bring one up

A quick search of the PHD discussion forum yields the answer...

hi Greg

i'm sure you're familiar with this but
if you use TSX, ideal method would be to install the ASCOM2xMount adaptor for TSX which presents tsx as an ascom mount.
http://www.bisque.com/sc/media/p/112531.aspx

but if you use tsx I doubt you'd need to use phd as guiding via the control plane with tsx is much better than st4 or relays.

so not sure what your interface is.

Cheers
Alistair

Thanks for that Alistair.

I downloaded that. I think everything may be fine. It all connects, I just need to see how it goes next clear night. As far as I can tell it is still using pulse guiding. It worked on my PMX when I had one.

Greg.
