I really love the Moretus crater, it looks different every time I see it.
This image is a mosaic of 3 avi's, combiend using 45 alignment point processing in Registax4beta, composite created in Photoshop.
The image was taken on the morning of the 14th September with the waxing moon, when the altitude was only 25°. I used the 10" dob, EQ platform, 5x powermate + DMK21AF04 (with red astronomik filter).
80 frames were stacked from each alignment point (out of 1800 frames captured for each avi). The seeing was very tough with the low altitude and dropping temperature at 4am.
I think this is my best image so far of this crater and surrounding area.
