I have a QHY10 and I doubt you will ever saturate it unless it's an extreamly bright object. CCD is a totaly different Ball game compared to the Canon DSLR. I could very easily saturate the DSLR's I was using.

How ever. I am slowly learning with a true 16 bit camera you dont need it any were near saturated.

I have done some nice images with it. When I was taking the Subs their was almost nothing visible in the sub. But after processing and stretching their was a nice detailed image in their.

So far 5 Mins seem ok for most Nebula. The only one I have done 1 Min subs on was Orion.

Here is my Attempt at Horsehead and Flame with the QHY10. 24 Subs at 5 Min each.
