The Road to the Milky Way

Hi all,

Here's a panorama from last Thursday morning at about 4:15am. Something I've been planning to shoot for a while, so it was nice to get out there and capture it. Unfortunately the galactic plane didn't line up with the road as well as I planned, but I'm still fairly happy with the result.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Very nice, but it looks like it was a little cold.

Hi Stephen,
That is a nice photo, sharp stars and great colours in the dust clouds.
What lens did you use, and how many panels in the panorama?
Cheers Tim.

Thanks very much guys!

Tim, I used the Samyang 14mm and stitched about 9 images from memory (which was probably more than I needed to)... but then I cropped fairly heavily to avoid the edge distortion

Cheers,
Stephen
