Explore Scientific 127 apo

Explore Scientific 127 F7/5 triplet APO latest model recently imported direct from U.S.A.
Includes tube rings, carry handle, re-designed 2" R&P focuser that is 100% better than the original 2" Crayford focuser, 2" diagonal and Finderscope. Description and specs available on ES website.
The quality of this scope is way above that of the Northgroup standard 127APO and can be verified by the many favourable reviews from people such as Craig Stark.
I have the original shipping boxes if needed but no metal carry case.
Also does not include mini-Guide scope and guide camera or Neq6 mount(advertised separately)
$1350 or offer plus postage

Damages or problems

Klaus,

The Telescope has no damages or problems.

It arrived from Explore Scientific in America in perfect condition.

I took the scope to our dark sky site at Leyburn in January and used it both visually and imaging. Views were impressive and images were great!

(I didn't save any images as the guiding was off)

The optics and finish on this scope are way better than the standard Northgroup 127ED.

This ES127 was meant to replace my TSA120 but as the sale price of used Tak's has plummeted, I have decided to sell the 127 instead.

regards,

Phil

Photo and Focuser

Thanks Lewis!

I can post some pics tomorrow of the objective and the new R & P 2" focuser that has replaced the old Crayford style that used to be supplied with this model.

The R & P focuser is a much better performer than the previous Crayford and handles my Photo rig with ease......in fact I would say it performs as well as, if not better, than the one on my Tak.

Sorry! Can't afford to sell the Tak with the low prices being offered at present.

cheers,

Phil

Lewis!

I love your enthusiasm but I know you....your a Takahashi and Vixen man thru and thru!

This scope was out last night viewing moon, planets and other objects and I am happy to say that it 'snapped' into focus with absolutely no colour fringing on any object.

You have owned one of the 'Northgroup' scopes before and stated the focus was 'soft' but this brand has a higher quality than the generic scopes.

cheers,

Phil
