Optec NextGen Widefield 0.5x Telecompressor

This Telecompressor (reducer/flattener) is specifically designed for Celestron /Meade f10/11 SCTs.

I have used it on my C14 for a few years and has been my standard set up as imaging at f5.5 is so much easier than at f11.

The NGW far surpasses the 0.63 reducer from Celestron that I used previously.

You can read details at:

http://www.optecinc.com/astronomy/catalog/17406.htm

A few points to note:

- Designed for imaging rather than visual use.
- Designed for standard Celestron scopes not Edge.
- Image plane reduced to about 17.5 mm across so CCD sensor should be smaller than this.
- The distance from NextGen to CCD sensor is critical. The adapter I have for sale is for a SBIG ST 7/8/9/10 or 2000 camera with CFW8, 8A or 9.
- If you have a different camera you will need to order a different spacer.

New price for NGW 0.5x is US$ 295 or A$ 360 plus shipping
..........for the ST+CFW camera spacer US$ 60 or A$ 75 plus shipping.

I would really like to sell together so looking for around A$300.

Thanks

Kim
