Sothern Cross (Lum only)

4 panel mosaic (FSQ106ED + PL16803) from a single night, only 35min of Lum so it can be a bit noisy in full scale

Are you planning to do colour, Raki? Looking forward to it if you do

That should be a real cracker of an image with colour. Lots and lots of stars there. Some small points of interest too.

Thanks guys. I have some RGB from the same night, 20mins on each panel per channel. Will try to process them soon. Hopefully I can make another trip to LMDSS for some additional data.

Very nice. I did the same image with the same gear several years ago.

Its an iconic part of the Aussie night sky.

That looks really good Raki. The small neb in the coalsack is really well resolved. You've got a little glitch in the stitching at the bottom but nothing major.

Great detail and so sharp.

A beautiful monochrome photo.

Yeh I see it now, I guess I almost got away without doing a gradient merge. The dark sky at LMDSS is a bliss compared to my backyard.

Thanks Ross. I guess one can get away a bit with less data in mosaic.
