Jupiter & Europa

Very frustrating evening as the wind started at dusk and never stopped. Lucky to grab this as I was about to give it away, seeing went bad soon after. The locals call me lucky Phil which certainly work for me last night.

Regards, phil.

Good one. Great detail and nicely lit - very natural looking.

How are you finding the ASI174MM camera?

Thanks Hugh, teasing out the fine detail is an art which I'm still learning

Cheers DarkArts, with the ASI174MM I need a bit more magnification than the ASI120MM plus the ASI174MM has much less noise so processing is easier especially in good seeing. I hope to do some direct comparisons if I get a consistent seeing period long enough to do several RGB with each.

another excellent one Phil. I think Damian Peach has started using the ASI174MM too and is very pleased with its performance. I am reluctant to buy one myself for now, want to stretch the QHY5L-II to the limit. But my birthday is in July, might have to treat myself .
